Register Your Mobile Phone Before It Gets Blocked

Nepal Government has decided to block the Phones that has been illegally imported into the country. That means, without legal procedures of registration, paying tax and all people are brining mobile phones and other gadgets. Even though they can't bar the illegal buying of other gadgets, illegal import of mobile phones can be controlled if NTC blocks IMEI slots of the mobile. This registration system has dual advantage: one to stop the grey market of mobile phones and two to help track the lost phones that are registered in this system.

So, don't rest assured if you have a Smartphone that you have already brought. Who knows if the businessmen brought it without legal procedures and sold it to you. In that case, your mobile will also not work for voice communication using SIM. Hence, it is advised that all people who have mobile phones at their homes should register their phones on Nepal Telecommunication registry from the following link:

Know the Name of the person under which a given SIM is registered

If you want to know whose name is registered in the registry of any SIM, you are at the right place.

You or your family member or a friend is using a SIM card for a long period of time but they have forgotten whether the SIM is registered under their own name or under somebody else's name. So, what can you do to know the registration name of that particular SIM?

·         NTC: Dial *922# from the same Ntc SIM in question

·         NCELL : *9966# from the same Ncell SIM in question

You find a SIM somewhere and if you want to know the identity of the real owner of that SIM then you just have to insert it into your mobile and dial the inquiry number as above depending upon which SIM it is: NTC or NCELL.
